Structural repairs to our basement
During the course of planning this project, severe structural deterioration was found in several concrete beams that make up the Old Central Fire Station's foundation. About $100,000 in repairs will be made in the building's basement crawl-space to shore up these beams.

December 2001, “Jacking-day” -- Workers place additional shoring in the basement and then jack

This work is in preparation for replacing the footings of theses four massive columns.
