Structural repairs to our basement
During the course of planning this project, severe structural deterioration was found in several concrete beams that make up the Old Central Fire Station's foundation. About $100,000 in repairs will be made in the building's basement crawl-space to shore up these beams.

December 2001, Once the weight of the second floor is supported by the temporary shoring,
the rotten sections of wood are cut from the base of the four main support columns.
After new concrete footings are poured, the weight of the second floor will
be lowered back down onto these four orgional wooden columns
