The Aurora Regional Fire Museum is located at the corner of E. New York Street and N. Broadway (Rt. 25) in the heart of downtown Aurora, located 35 miles west of Chicago in the western suburbs. Approximate travel time by road or rail from downtown Chicago to the museum is one hour.
By car:
Aurora is located just off a major highway. The museum can be accessed via E. New York Street or N. Broadway to Spring Street. Free parking is located directly behind the museum building on N. LaSalle Street.
By train:
Aurora serves as the end terminal for the Metra BNSF commuter rail line. The museum is located 2 blocks south of the Aurora train station. Tickets can be purchased in advanced for a discounted rate using the Ventra app, at a station location, or using cash on the train. Visit the Metra website for schedules and fares.
